As someone who has always been apprehensive of staying at a hostel, as I really value my personal space and privacy, staying at a hostel has been on my list of challenges for a while, and staying at ibis Styles proved to me that staying at a hostel can be a great experience. Upon booking, it was really important for me to find a place that would offer some kind of privacy, and I was able to have that with ibis Style. The room that I chose was spacious enough to not feel claustrophobic, yet still comfortable, I liked the interior design of the communal lounge and overall hostel, and all the amenities offered in the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen offered most utensils and dishes necessary for anyone that wanted to bring food and cook. The room was well planned, providing a shelf, two wall hooks, a decent sized mirror, a table attached to the wall with a mechanism for opening and closing, and a very comfortable bedding. I was able to put out clothes and my personal products on the shelves and keep everything organized, without the feeling of cluster. The location was a great perk as well, only a five minute walk from the Ljubljana Station, and a walking distance from most touristy locations. I bought a bus card thinking that I will use it, however there was no need, as I visited all museums and cultural places by walking on foot. On my last day, I was able to leave my bag after check-out in a luggage room - which was kept locked, to continue exploring the city before my flight. To summarize my experience, I was left immensely satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort provided, and I highly recommend it to everyone else.

This place by far exceeded our expectations. We checked in late (around 1 or 2 am) but this was not a problem as the reception and bar is open 24 hours. We had a lower floor cabin, and it was of course very small, but there were plenty of sockets/USB ports, and room to hang clothes. There were plenty of bathrooms and showers, so we never had to wait, and they were kept very clean by hostel standards. Towels and shower gel are provided and there are hairdryers in the bathrooms. There is a small gym and a small kitchen with a hob, fridge, cupboards, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, pans, plates and cultery. There are sticky notes there so you can label your food. There are lots of areas around the hostel where you can sit down to relax - sofas, beanbags etc. There is a great view of the castle from the rooftop, and we enjoyed having our meals out here. There is a tap in reception with free drinking water always available. You can play table tennis/table football for 1 euro. The hostel was in a great location- only a five minute walk (or less) from the centre of town, and only a five minute walk from the bus station. There is a 24hr kebab place open just across the road which was handy for our late bus.

For this travel of mine I chose a small, cube-like room. It's not a small capsule, rather something between a capsule and a proper room. For me personally it was very, very comfy and cozy. The bed was quite huge, and the small space had everything that I needed (besides bed, there was a small shelf-table, some shelves and a small chair). I loved the lights - I could change colors and nivelations (bright vs. dimmed), so I had a lot of fun with that. The space outside of the capsules is amazing - lots of space to roam around, many facilities, lazy bags, books, chairs, tables, all the different options to spend time in a bigger common space. There is a kitchen too. The staff was amazing. The reception and the bar work 24/7, which is great. Also, the fuzzy mascot of the hotel is so, so sweet! The atmosphere was really cozy.

The Fuzzy Log is a very unique style of hostel, I really liked it's eco-friendly design and values. I stayed in a personal 'pod' rather than a dorm room; I loved the funky lighting in the room, and how cozy it was. I was lovely to be able to read my book and drink a coffee on the rooftop area, as well as chill out in the communal area on big comfy chairs. The breakfast was very good, with a wide range of pastries, fruit, yoghurts and good food available. The staff were very helpful and there is someone available 24 hours. This hostel was a lot bigger than I had expected - it has a feel of a hotel about it with the range of amenities it offers for the price. The central bus station and train station are a few minutes walk away - very easy to navigate with suitcases or heavy bags, and very convenient for early mornings.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The cabin was super cosy and practical with plenty of space for a solo traveller, towels and bedding included, and plenty of USB sockets. The bed was large and I slept comfortably. I appreciated the range of bathrooms available - there were unisex as well as gendered shared bathrooms with shower & toilet cubicles and open sink areas, or there was the choice of private bathrooms where the shower, toilet, and sink were all in one lockable room. It didn’t seem very busy during my stay so thankfully there was always a private bathroom available. There were also lots of spaces around to sit and chill, and there was generally a nice vibe in the hostel. The location was also excellent for Ljubljana centre, literally 3 minutes walk and I was in the old town.
