As someone who has always been apprehensive of staying at a hostel, as I really value my personal space and privacy, staying at a hostel has been on my list of challenges for a while, and staying at ibis Styles proved to me that staying at a hostel can be a great experience. Upon booking, it was really important for me to find a place that would offer some kind of privacy, and I was able to have that with ibis Style. The room that I chose was spacious enough to not feel claustrophobic, yet still comfortable, I liked the interior design of the communal lounge and overall hostel, and all the amenities offered in the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen offered most utensils and dishes necessary for anyone that wanted to bring food and cook. The room was well planned, providing a shelf, two wall hooks, a decent sized mirror, a table attached to the wall with a mechanism for opening and closing, and a very comfortable bedding. I was able to put out clothes and my personal products on the shelves and keep everything organized, without the feeling of cluster. The location was a great perk as well, only a five minute walk from the Ljubljana Station, and a walking distance from most touristy locations. I bought a bus card thinking that I will use it, however there was no need, as I visited all museums and cultural places by walking on foot. On my last day, I was able to leave my bag after check-out in a luggage room - which was kept locked, to continue exploring the city before my flight. To summarize my experience, I was left immensely satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort provided, and I highly recommend it to everyone else.

This place was one of the highlights of my trip, and I visited four countries while travelling! What a seriously cool find The Fuzzy Log was. I've never stayed anywhere like it before. I'd recommend it in a heart beat. My little wooden cabin pod was warm, comfy and very unique. I was able to wash my clothes in the communal laundry, for 4 euros per wash or dry. There is even detergent linked to the machine, so you don't need to buy detergent! Staff were soooo friendly, helpful and welcoming. The whole place has a welcoming vibe. There is a well stocked kitchen with all you need to prepare meals, as well as hot and cold water available all day. I ate the buffet breakfast one day and it was filling and good. There is a gym for those who want to work out and a book swap where I picked up two great books and left another for others. Lockers were really useful on the day i checked out, as my bus wasn't until the evening. The location is great, just a short walk down to the river and the old town, for endless history, restaurants and a cool vibe. The main bust station is a bout 5 minutes walk away, so I could take buses to Lake Bled and Postojna cave for just a few euros each way! A great deal cheaper than organised day trips. Ljubliana is a sweet little city. I'm so glad I stayed here.

The Fuzzy Log was an amazing experience. The location was the best part, everything we wanted to visit (like cafes or town square or bus station) and everything we needed (like grocerie shop and fast food shops) was a 5-10 minute WALK. As we didnt reserve parking with the hotel, the staff gave us many options if we wanted a close but a little bit more expensive parking, or a distant cheap one. The rooms were very comfortable and you have everything you need, except as we were staying for New Years it was a bit cold at night and there were no way to adjust the heating. Kitchen was very useful and it had everything you need. The shared spaces were also very fun as you have stuff to do while you wait for check in, and you also have space for your luggage. The rooftop is like a cherry on top. We were on the top floor and since there are many floors the elevator is very quick and you dont wait around.

This hostel exceeded my expectations. I was a little concerned about the whole "cabin" set up, but this was actually much larger than I expected. The bed was almost kingsized, there was still a wardrobe and fold out table. I had plenty of space to unpack my suitcase and was very comfortable, honestly more so than at some much more expensive hotels I stayed at during my trip. Location was very convenient and walking distance to the town centre and transport. The rooftop is lovely. Bathrooms were clean and it was really nice to be able to shower before my room was ready since I got there earlier than 3pm. They were also shower/bathroom pods where you could close the door and while communal it felt very private, as opposed to some shared bathrooms in hostels I've been to where it was just a curtain. Breakfast typical meats, cheeses and croissants, perfectly nice.

The location is just perfect - very close to the train & bus station, famous Burek Olimpija and city centre. Everything was in short walk distance. The place itself is very cool - from the 24/7 open bar, chill out areas, outdoor terrace, games, gym, etc. Shame it was shitty weather and I didn't try out the terrace, but maybe next time. :) Find the building was very easy, check in was easy and fast. The room was ok size, bed was big enough. Shower was together with toilet and it was good that you could lock up yourself there and have a little bit of privacy. I think I would stay again just for this price and location. It is unbeatable.
